To promote economic transformation and upgrading, the Chinese government has formulated a series of preferential measures to encourage enterprises to apply for high-tech enterprises. High tech enterprises refer to resident enterprises registered within China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) that continue to conduct research and development, transform technological achievements, form core independent intellectual property rights, and carry out business activities based on this in the "National Key Supported High tech Fields".

Enterprises approved for recognition will receive a 15% preferential corporate income tax rate and other financial subsidy policies. In addition, as a rare national level qualification certification, the recognition of high-tech enterprises can effectively improve the level of scientific and technological research and development management, enhance the brand influence and competitiveness of enterprises.

Enterprises play a core supporting role in technology (within the scope of the National Key Supported High tech Fields) for their main products or services

The proportion of scientific and technological personnel engaged in research and development and related technological innovation activities to the total number of employees of the enterprise in the current year shall not be less than 10%

The proportion of total R&D expenses to total sales revenue for the past three years (calculated based on actual operating time if the actual operating period is less than three years) meets the corresponding requirements

The proportion of high-tech product or service revenue to the total revenue of the enterprise in the same period in the past year shall not be less than 60%

Enterprise innovation capability evaluation meets corresponding requirements

No major safety, quality accidents or serious environmental violations have occurred in the past year
